The International School of Bogor

My name is Ari Yustiaringi. I am a teacher in ELC 1. Since August, 2006, I have been working in ISB. I have always been interested in working with children and enjoy the challenge of teaching. Before I joined ISB, I taught at SBI Madania and Kinderfield Preschool and Kindergarten. My experience has provided me with a good understanding of teaching, a strong sense of responsibility, and a positive attitude.   I am also a fast learner and a self-starter.

I am Hasanah Sarkaya. I graduated from secretarial school Asean Training College, Jakarta. I have been working in The International School of Bogor since 1992. I’ve been working with classroom teachers from pre-school to high school levels. I enjoy working with children, since they are always happy. I am single with 2 children. They are my spirit in life. My hobby is aerobics, since I can shakes my body along with loud music. I hope my knowledge and experience are useful to the students of ISB, and I also hope to be a good mom for my children.

Mersy is a Teacher Assistant in the Reception class. She started teaching at ISB in 2000. Her first assignment was in ELC as a Teacher Assistant. She held the position for 5 years before moving up to Reception. Prior to working at ISB, Mersy was  a classroom teacher at an International Preschool in Jakarta for 5 years. She graduated from a secretarial academy and continued her education with studies in psychology. She has also taken professional development in Early Childhood Education.  Mersy enjoys and loves working with young children.

My name is S. Ratnawaty, but the students call me Ibu Nana. I graduated from a private university in Jakarta, and I also graduated from secretarial school. I have been at the International School of Bogor since 2001, and I have taught many different classes and different age ranges over the years. This year, I am working with grades 3 and 4. My hobbies include reading, swimming, and traveling. I also enjoy arts and crafts.

My name is Selvi Novalianti.  Students call me Ibu Selvi.  I have been working in ISB for almost 5 years.  For my first two years at ISB I worked with the Middle School and I then moved to the preschool, where I have been ever since.  I graduated from a private University in Jakarta, majoring in English Literature, in 2003. Before I joined ISB I taught English for elementary students  in a public elementary school in Bogor. I love working with children, and I always try my best to be an excellent teacher or teacher aid.

Sri Hastuti Syukur (Tuti) is one of the Teacher Assistants in ELC 2 & 3. As a mother of 3 girls & 1 boy, she gets used to dealing with children. It also motivates her to choose ELC as her first place to start working in ISB. She shows her ability in taking good care of the children, also teaching them in making beautiful art, although her background and experiences are completely different. In 1985, after graduating from St. Theresia Tourism Highschool, she worked for Cathay Pacific Airways, as a Reservations Officer for 5 years.  Then she joined Huffco Brantas, Inc. (an American Oil Co.) as a secretary for 4 years. After 3 years break (spending her time as a housewife), she joined CIFOR as a workshop secretary, temporarily. She had another break for 7 years before she joined ISB last year (2008).
