Welcome to Early Learning Center 3! The children’s age range in this combined preschool class is from four to five years old. This class offer a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, aesthetic, intellectual, and language development of each child, while being sensitive to the needs and preferences of families. Although, children altogether is grouped in one classroom, there is definitely a distinction from one to the other.

ELC 3 consolidates the learning achieved in ELC 2 and prepares them for the rigour of normal school life.  Children come to school at 7:45 am until 1.45pm each day (the same as the rest of the Primary School). Although many of the activities of the ELC 3 are play-based and student-centered, specific skills in numeracy and literacy are emphasized.  Learning the fundamental skills of reading and writing are taught by developing phonemic awareness, basic sight word vocabulary and guiding reading activities.  Student’s natural curiousity is emphasized by focusing on key units of inquiry throughout the year.  They follow a regular weekly schedule and attend specialist subjects for Music, P.E, Swimming, Library, Bahasa Indonesia and Dance. Students in ELC 2 are expected to be able to go to the toilet independently.
