Dear Parents

Thank you for taking the time to consider The International School of Bogor as the first, or the next school for your child. We think it a privilege to work with children, and take our responsibilities seriously for all students entrusted to our care. As a Principal with over 18 years educational experience, I am very proud to lead a fully qualified and very experienced expatriate teaching staff, supported by Indonesians who are highly trained Para-professionals. Together this makes ISB a dynamic educational campus where your child will experience the best in international education.

The most common question parents ask me when enrolling their children is what makes ISB a good school for my child / children? Here are some of my standard answers:

• ISB has ‘only’ fully qualified and experienced international teachers, which does make it a little more expensive than some other local schools. (Excellent and experienced teachers unfortunately cost money, but the benefits for our children are obvious when you visit any classroom!)
• We have set a maximum class size of 18 students. Each class also has the support of a full-time qualified Indonesian speaking Teacher Aide. This means every student can receive individual support for either extension or learning problems.
• We teach an international curriculum which is recognised in any school – anywhere in the world, should you need to relocate again with your children.
• We are authorised by the International Baccalaureate Association to implement the Primary Years curriculum.  We are very experienced in delivering this program successfully and take pride in providing a meaningful and engaging curriculum.
• We help students develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.
• We promote intercultural understanding and a strong sense of community service.
• We provide a comprehensive extracurricular program

ISB is, (and will always remain) a small, caring, world class educational campus where each family is welcomed into a warm community environment. We have many activities throughout the year where families have the opportunity to interact socially. Each Friday morning Assembly is also a social occasion where students not only demonstrate their learning skills, but parents meet and greet each other.
